Regime forces remove sand barriers on the M5 road near the Turkish point in Maarhtat and artillery shelling targets Jabal al-Zawiyah

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today artillery shelling carried out by the regime forces from their positions in the southern countryside of Idlib, the shelling targeted Kansafra town in Jabal al-Zawiyah.

The regime force also opened the international road of Damascus – Aleppo at the intersection of Maarhtat town in Idlib countryside, and they remove the sand barriers that were used previously by the Turkish post to close the international road in front of the columns of the regime forces.

The cautious calm continues within “Putin Erdogan” area as the new ceasefire enters its second week in a row, where the first week witnessed a calm all over the area during which the air bombardment has stopped completely, and the violations have been limited to launching rocket shells intermittently by the forces, targeting areas controlled by factions and the Jihadis in Idlib and Aleppo countryside.

The factions responded in a similar way.

While clashes took place in Sahl al-Ghab and the southern countryside of Idlib in the early hours of the new ceasefire, during which fighters of the jihadi factions and the regime forces were killed, also, the regime forces were able to control and hold there control in the entire areas of Ma’arrat Mokhes and al-Brij in the vicinity of Kafr Nubl without clashes against the factions.
