New ceasefire .. nine days on: Cautious calm prevails in the “de-escalation” zone amid suspension of aerial operations

SOHR sources say that aerial operations are suspended completely, along with tense calm prevailing in the are of “Putin – Erdogan” as the new ceasefire has entered its ninth consecutive day. This calm was interrupted by sporadic exchange of fire with medium machineguns between regime forces and opposition factions on Saraqeb frontlines, east of Idlib, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

SOHR sources reported yesterday that regime forces positions in southern Idlib countryside fired several artillery shells on Kansafra town in Jabal al-Zawiya.

On the other hand, regime forces reopened Damascus-Aleppo international highway, on the road to Maar Hattat in Idlib countryside, removing the cement blocks that the Turkish post used previously to cut off the international road to prevent regime military columns from passing.
