Young man from Al-Atareb city shot dead by HTS

The Syrian Observatory has documented the death of a young man from the city of Al-Atareb from wounds he sustained a few days ago, after being shot directly by a security force belonging to HTS during the young man’s attempt to rob a house with his brother in Al-Atareb city in western Aleppo countryside.  The young man died today after he was seriously injured.

Two days ago, SOHR sources reported that clashes erupted in Sarmada city between local gunmen in the city and HTS security forces, bringing in reinforcement to storm a neighborhood in Sarmada city. Six people were injured among both sides, one of whom was seriously injured, while a woman and a child were injured during the indiscriminate shooting.

SOHR sources also reported that clashes erupted between HTS and local gunmen on the outskirts of Sarmada city, north of Idlib. HTS brought in military reinforcement from surrounding checkpoints.

Observatory sources added that the clashes broke out following an attack by HTS on a resident of the city at the security checkpoint at the southern entrance to the city.

Meanwhile, dozens of residents of the border area gathered near HTS security checkpoint, while HTS members fired in the air to disperse the gatherings. No casualties were reported.
