Turkish-backed factions shell SDF-controlled areas and carry out an attack in Tal Tamr areas

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored today an artillery shelling carried out by the Turkish-backed factions and the Turkish Forces, targeting Qazali village in Tal Abyad countryside.

In the same context, the Turkish-backed factions carried out an attack on the villages of Om al-Kief and Tawilah in the northern countryside of Tal Tamr. While the Tal Tamer military council was able to thwart the attack of the Turkish-backed factions.

The Turkish Forces shelled using heavy artillery the villages of Om al-Kief and Tawilah, which injured a civilian and a member of the regime forces.

On the 15th of March 2020, the Turkish forces and allied factions launched heavy artillery shells targeting the villages of Kor Hasan and Salib in rural Tal Abyad in northern Raqqa province. No casualties have been reported.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this afternoon rocket attacks by Turkish forces on areas in Qaz’ali village, south-west of Tal Abyad, in northern countryside of Raqqa, which is controlled by regime forces and SDF. No casualties have been reported.

On March 13, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces shelled regime forces positions and civilian areas in Kobarlik, Abdi Koi, Qaz’ali and Huriyah, west of Tal Abyad, north of Raqqa province.
