Unidentified gunmen target regime Airforce Intelligence checkpoint in eastern rural Daraa

Daraa governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening an attack with machine guns by unknown gunmen targeting the security checkpoint of regime Airforce Intelligence between the towns of Al Sawara-Alma in eastern countryside of Daraa. No casualties have been reported to date.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 357 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 220 persons, 45 of whom are civilians, including five women and four children, in addition to 114 members of regime forces, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

39 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 16 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
