Regime forces shoot former opposition commanders in rural Daraa, leaving three dead or wounded

Daraa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources have informed SOHR that regime soldiers opened fire using medium machineguns on three former commanders in opposition factions, while the commanders were passing by Masakin Jilij checkpoint in the western countryside of Daraa.

Two commanders were killed and the third sustained injuries. The reasons behind this attack have yet to be known.

The targeted commander worked for the “Central Commission” for public affairs in the western countryside of Daraa.

It is noteworthy that the soldiers who shot the commanders were a part of reinforcement of regime forces which were sent today to the area.
