Turkish forces and proxy factions shell Kurdish positions as clashes continue on Marea frontlines

The Syrian Observatory has monitored violent clashes between Turkish-backed factions and Kurdish forces on south-western frontlines of Marea.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces and proxy factions shelled with heavy artillery the village of Sheikh Issa in areas held by Kurdish forces, north of Aleppo.

The Syrian Observatory has documented further fatalities as a result of rocket attacks on Afrin. The death toll has risen to five, including two children and a member of Turkish-backed “Free Police”. 15 others were injured, including women and children, some of them were seriously injured.

Hours earlier, the Syrian Observatory monitored rocket attacks by Kurdish forces on areas in Afrin city, which is controlled by Turkish forces and proxy factions in north-western Aleppo countryside.
