“Self-Administration” declares curfew in all areas of N and E Syria

The “Self-Administration” issued a binding decision in all areas it controls in northern and eastern Syria, stating that: “Based on the requirements of the public interest and due to the critical challenge posed by the coronavirus pandemic to the world and the region and in order to ensure the health and safety of our fellow citizens, we call on all people in the “Self-Administration “areas of northern and eastern Syria to abide by the following measures:

1- Curfew to be imposed in all areas of “Self-Administration” of northern and eastern Syria, starting on Monday morning, March 23, 2020 at 6:00 a.m.

  1. Movement and relocation between “Self and civil Administrations” as well as between the main cities within each administration to be prohibited as of Saturday morning, March 21, 2020, at 6 a.m.

3- All restaurants, cafes, commercial gatherings, “bazars”, public parks, private medical clinics, wedding halls and condolence tents to be closed.

4- All hospitals, public and private health centers, organizations, food shops exclusively, food transport vehicles, infant formula and fuel tankers, to be exempted from this prohibition.

  1. People must comply fully with the aforementioned procedures and any person who violates these procedures will be held liable.
