Fierce clashes between SDF and Turkish-backed factions in Ain Issa leaves many casualties

Syrian Observatory sources say that fierce clashes, accompanied by exchange fire and attacks, erupted between Syria Democratic Forces and Turkish-backed factions on frontlines north of Ain Issa town, north of Al-Raqqah. Many fighters in the ranks of both sides were confirmed dead or wounded.

SOHR sources reported yesterday evening that the villages of Al-Hushan and Al-Khalidiya, nearby Ain Issa, were under fire of Turkish-backed factions stationed in northern countryside of Raqqa, No casualties were reported.

On March 18, Observatory sources reported that SDF infiltrated into Turkish-backed factions’ positions in Khirbet Karam village, north of Ain Issa town, where clashes erupted between the two sides, leaving two members of “National Army” dead.
