Opposition factions’ security services detonate IED in Idlib city center after failing to dismantle it
Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported hearing an explosion in Idlib city. The explosion was caused by detonating a remote-controlled IED by security services affiliated to an opposition faction in the city, after they had failed to dismantle it. The IED was placed under a vehicle in Jabbara neighborhood in Idlib city center. No casualties have been reported.
On March 18, Observatory sources reported that masked men attempted to arrest a member in opposition factions, who specializes in “TOW missiles” using, in Idlib city center. The member showed resistance during the arrest and sustained injury in his leg after being shot by the masked men.
Furthermore, activists have accused members of HTS security services of attempting to arrest the weapon specialist. However, the Syrian Observatory has not yet verified the accusations.
The member is considered the most proficient in using “TOW missiles”, where dozens of Syrian regime tanks were destroyed by him, and he is known as “Abu Al-TOW”.
