Russian and Turkish troops conduct short joint patrol between Saraqeb and Tarnaba

SOHR sources say that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol, the second of its kind in the area of “Putin-Erdogan”. The patrol has failed to complete its mission similar to the first patrol, which has failed and only roamed between Saraqeb city and about two km west of Tarnaba village. The joint patrols was supposed to roam Latakia-Aleppo international highway.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that Turkish troops conducted a new patrol on Aleppo-Latakia international highway (M4), starting from Trenbeh village, west of Saraqeb city, to Musaybin village, east of Idlib. This is the fifth patrol of its kind to be run on the highway over the past few days.

A few days ago, Observatory activists reported that unknown persons re-erected soil barriers, blocking Latakia-Aleppo international highway (M4) near Al-Nayrab town, east of Idlib. It is noteworthy that Turkish forces had removed soil barriers in these areas, clearing the way for running joint patrols with the Russians.
