Turkish-backed factions arrest members of ‘Free Police’ in Afrin

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists have reported that members of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiya” and “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” factions arrested members of the “Free Police” in Afrin city, for insulting the “Free Army”.

On March 23, SOHR sources reported that Turkish-backed factions, operating in Afrin and countryside in north-west Aleppo, continue their arbitrary arrests against the area’s residents who have refused to be displaced, as part of the ongoing violations against them.

Reliable sources informed the Syrian Observatory that Ankara-backed factions arrested and kidnapped eight civilians in Bulbul and Ma’abatli districts of rural Afrin and the industrial zone of Afrin city, on charges and various pretexts such as “communicating with Kurdish units and fighting in its ranks”. The kidnapped were taken to unknown destination.
