Heavy rain and strong winds uproot many tents in refugee camps on border with Iskenderun region

Despite the current tense calm in the area of “Putin–Erdogan”, displaced people who fled earlier military operations by Russian and regime forces still live inhumane situation because of bad weather.

Syrian Observatory activists say that a large number of tents were blown away in the camps of Killi, Hazanu, Sarmada, Haranboush and other camps in northern Idlib on the border with Iskenderun region because of strong winds and heavy rain on the area.

On March 13, Observatory sources have reported that a severe windstorm struck Idlib province in the early hours of Friday morning, uprooting and destroying a large number of tents in refugee camps in Idlib countryside. Many tents were blown away in Jabal Al-Duwaylah in Kafr Takharim and other camps in the north and west of Idlib. The recent windstorm helped in worsening the inhumane situation of people who have been forced to displace fleeing the Russian and regime brutality.
