Turkish forces shell Ain Issa villages north of Raqqa

The Syrian Observatory has monitored artillery shelling by Turkish forces this evening, targeting the village of Sida in rural Ain Issa, north of Raqqa. No casualties have been reported yet.

Tense calm has been prevailing on the frontlines of Ain Issa during the past three days.

On March 24, Turkish-backed factions targeted fuel tankers near Ain Issa, north of Raqqa, while SDF clashed with the these factions to protect the tankers. No casualties were reported.

On March 20, the Syrian Observatory monitored violent clashes between SDF and Turkish-backed factions on frontlines of Ain Issa in northern countryside of Raqqa. Clashes were accompanied by exchanging shelling, leaving casualties among the two sides.
