Old bomb goes off in Kanaker leaving child dead and three injured

SOHR activists have reported hearing an explosion in Kanaker town in western Rif Dimashq. An old unexploded bomb went of while some children were playing in front of their house in Khourshid street in the city center. The explosion killed a five-year-old kid and injured three others one of whom sustained serious injury.

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 258 people including 65 women and 74 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.

Among the total death toll, there are 44 persons, including 30 women and five children, were killed during their search and collection of the truffle which grows in the areas that is subjected to heavy rain, and it is sold at very high prices.
