Turkish intelligence arrests Afrin’s police commander for moral and financial corruption

Aleppo Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: very reliable source have informed the Syrian Observatory that Turkish intelligence arrested the commander of “Civil Police” in Afrin city, north-west of Aleppo.

According to SOHR sources, the arrested commander is a regime dissident colonel from Al-Rastan city in the northern countryside of Homs, and he was arrested over various accusations, including sexual harassment, other corruption acts in the city’s police station, and taking bribes from several people in return for getting illegal business done.

It is noteworthy that Afrin’s police commander was assumed office in May 2018.
