Bosra Al-Sham’s gunmen withdraw from areas around Al-Quraya after mediation by dignitaries of Daraa and Al-Suwaidaa

Armed groups from Bosra Al-Sham withdrew today from positions they recently advanced into near Al-Quraya town in Al-Suwaidaa countryside, returning to the former eastern positions in Bosra Al-Sham.

This pullout comes after meetings between dignitaries of the area and their efforts to seek reconciliation between the families of Daraa and Al-Suwaidaa.

Yesterday, reliable sources Informed SOHR that an armed group kidnapped a civilian near al-Mazra’a town in Al-Suwaidaa countryside. The gunmen blocked the civilian’s way, while he was traveling on his motorcycle.

On March 27, Al-Suwaidaa experienced bloody events in al-Quraya town.

Widespread security tension has been prevailing in the town after violent clashes between local factions in Al-Suwaidaa and gunmen from Bosra al-Sham.

Observatory sources confirmed that elders and dignitaries of Al-Suwaidaa and Daraa provinces are seeking to end the differences between both parties.
