Deteriorating security in SDF-held areas: new explosion rocks Al-Busayrah

Syrian Observatory activists have reported hearing an explosion in Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, caused by the explosion of a stun grenade thrown by unknown individuals on the city’s outdoors market.

The explosion, which took place in the early hours of Sunday morning, came as a part of the deteriorating security chaos in areas controlled by Syria Democratic Forces in east Euphrates.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that two gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on a fighter affiliated to Syria Democratic Forces in Al-Sabha village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. Four gunshots hit the fighter who was later taken to a hospital in the area.

It is noteworthy that the targeted fighter is one of former members of the “Islamic State” who joined SDF, after capturing the entire area by SDF.

On April 8, SOHR activists documented the killing of two SDF fighter due to a landmine explosion near by the 93rd brigade in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah.
