The second patrol in April: Russian and Turkish forces run new joint patrol in rural Ain Al-Arab (Kobani)

Syrian Observatory sources have confirmed that the Russian and Turkish forces have conducted a new joint patrol in the eastern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani). Four Russian armored vehicles and four other Turkish ones toured the villages of Shiran, Tal Hajib, Hulaqi, and other villages in eastern Ain Al-Arab. The patrol was escorted with two Russian helicopters flying over the area at low altitude.

Earlier this morning, Observatory sources reported seeing a large Russian military column heading from Manbij area in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo towards Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) in the same countryside. The column, which contained tens of military vehicles, was escorted by a Russian helicopter flying at low altitude.

On April 6, Observatory sources confirmed that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol in east Euphrates region. The patrol started from Ashmah village in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab city (Kobani) and toured villages west of the city.

It was the first Russian-Turkish joint patrol to be conducted in the area in April.
