Regime and rebels trade fire in positions in the “de-escalation zone”

Syrian Observatory sources have reported that regime forces opened fire on areas in Al-Taliha village and Taftnaz town in the eastern countryside of Idlib using heavy machineguns. Regime forces also fired several rockets on places in Jabal Al-Zawiyah and the southern countryside of Idlib.

Meanwhile, opposition factions targeted regime-held areas in southern Idlib and Sahl Al-Ghab with shells and machineguns.

SOHR sources have just reported a drone attacked a military vehicle affiliated to “Jaysh Al-Nasr” in Al-Ankawi area in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama. The attack left at least three rebels dead, while five others sustained various injuries.

The same drone also targeted a military vehicle of the jihadi organization “Hurras al-Din” in Sahl Al-Ghab, leaving casualties.

The identity of the drone has yet to be known whether being Russian or affiliated to the Lebanese Hezbollah and Iranian forces.

It is noteworthy that this attack is not the first of its kind, since the “de-escalation zone” have experienced several attacks with drones since the new ceasefire came into effect 42 days ago. However, the previous attacks have never left casualties.
