Turkish-backed factions arrest and torture nearly 40 persons from Ahras village, while investigating yesterday’s car-bomb attack

SOHR activists say that Turkish-backed factions arrested about 40 civilians from the village of Ahras on charges of being linked to SDF and behind yesterday’s car-bomb attack. Detainees were tortured by Turkish-backed factions in various ways.

Yesterday, Syrian Observatory activists reported hearing a loud explosion in the Turkish-controlled village of Ahras in Al-Manajir area of Ras Al-Ain countryside (Sere Kaniye), north of Al-Hasakah. The explosion was caused by a car-bomb explosion targeting Turkish forces and a Turkish-backed faction, leaving many killed or injured, including Turkish soldiers.
