Regime authorities quarantine 60 “gypsies” in residential areas in rural Aleppo

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned that on the 16th of April 2020, regime authorities brought a group of about 60 people of the nomadic  “gypsies” from unknown areas on buses to quarantine.

Regime authorities chose Shuhada’a al-Aqsa School in the southwestern neighbourhood of Tal Aran city for the quarantine

In the same context, the Syrian Observatory monitored growing discontent and anger by the  residents of Tal Aran city and Tal Hasil town, who are fearful  of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in their areas. .

People appealed to regime authorities and the competent authorities in Aleppo and al-Sfireh area to move the quarantine center to places away from the residential communities, but they did not receive a response to their demands.
