Armed fight erupts between Turkish-backed military police and local tribes in Ras Al-Ain

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that clashes erupted yesterday between Turkish-backed military police and Abu Ma’ish tribe, in Ras Al-Ain city in rural Al-Hasakah.

People of Abu Ma’ish tribe have brought in military reinforcement and weapons from a commander of Al-Sharqiyyah, who has family ties with the tribe.

The clashes resulted in the killing of a person from Abu Ma’ish tribe.

According to SOHR sources, Turkish-backed military police looted stolen objects belonging to people of Abu Ma’ish tribe.

Moreover, security tension is prevailing among Turkish-backed factions in Ras Al-Ain city.

On April 14, SOHR sources reported that Turkish-backed rebels looted agricultural equipment, broken-down tractors and accessories in Merikis, Attiya, Daoudia and Abu Rasin countryside in Al-Hasakeh province.
