HTS seizes relief warehouse in northern Idlib, resettling one of its affiliates

Idlib Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham has forced the Local Council in Maarrat Al-Ikhwan village in northern Idlib to evacuate its relief warehouse, in order to house one of HTS member in the warehouse.

According to SOHR sources, the Local Council had intentions to turn the warehouse into a dispensary for serving the areas locals. However, HTS refused to evacuate the warehouse and asked the Local Council to open the dispensary in one of the village’s schools. It is note worthy that this school accommodates large number of displaced people.

On April 11, SOHR sources reported that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham refused to evacuate the cultural centre taken by HTS as its headquarters in Kafr Takharim in the western countryside of Idlib.

According to SOHR sources, some dignitaries, doctors, and founders of civil, humanitarian and service bodies in Kafr Takharim city adopted a unanimous decision of setting up a hospital inside the city’s cultural centre. They asked HTS to evacuate the cultural centre, but HTS refused to evacuate it with out revealing any reasons.
