HTS clamps down on “Hurras al-Din” and the jihadi group responds by releasing statement deploring HTS intentions of opening crossings with regime authorities

A state of tension is prevailing in Armanaz town in the north-western countryside of Idlib, between Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and al-Qaeda-affiliated “Hurras al-Din”.

Tension broke out following attempts by HTS to drive members of “Hurras al-Din” organization out of their headquarters in Armanaz town.

“Hurras al-Din” organization responded to HTS practices by a statement of which SOHR obtained a copy, it reads “Hurras al-Din organization resorts to the “Sharia of Allah” when settling quarrels and disagreements, and the organization keeps in mind the fact that its major duty is to defeat its enemy “the infidel regime” and its allies. However, inciting hatred escalated recently by groups of tendentious individuals who have never care about the repercussions of such practices. The last of these practices was the disturbing and provoking of Hurras al-Din jihadists and the attempt to drive them out of some areas. It is shame that this attempt was carried out by individuals affiliated with the jihadists. We are also surprised at the calls to open crossings, in such challenging circumstances, which give the “infidel regime” a breathing space, at a time when the jihadists are being restricted and expelled from their headquarters.”
