Israel strikes Iranian militia positions in Palmyra, east of Homs

SOHR activists say that explosions were heard in eastern countryside of Homs, caused by regime anti-aircraft defences while intercepting strikes by Israeli aircraft from the airspace of Lebanon. The strikes have targeted military posts of Iranian militias in Palmyra desert, east of Homs province. No casualties have been reported yet.

On March 31, reliable sources informed SOHR that a cargo plane had shuttled between Al-Shayrat and Tiffour airports before Israeli strikes.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored shelling by Israeli jets from the airspace of Lebanon, targeting Al-Shayrat airbase in Homs with more than eight missiles.  An explosion was heard believed to be caused by anti-aircraft defenses while intercepting these strikes.
