Daraa’s security chaos: assassinations attempts and abductions targeting civilians in several areas

Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that unidentified gunmen assassinated a young man involving in narcotics trafficking in Daraa al-Balad.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored the assassination of a civilian from Nawa, by shooting him. Two young men from rural Daraa were also killed.

Meanwhile, residents of Bosr al-Harir kidnapped a civilian from Al-Suwayda while he was passing through the town.

This comes as part of the pressure on the gang of kidnappers to release one of Bosr al-Harir’s civilians.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 415 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 254 persons, 51 of whom are civilians, including five women and four children, in addition to 136 members of regime forces, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

44 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 17 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
