As Turkish forces refuse to participate, Russian troops patrol rural Al-Darbasiyah alone
Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that Russian forces patrolled villages in the western countryside of Al-Darbasiyah alone. According to SOHR sources, Russian armored vehicles headed this morning to Sherik crossing on Turkey border, in order to conduct a joint patrol with Turkish forces. Turkish officers and soldiers talked to the Russians but the Turks did not participate in the patrol.
The Russian patrol toured the villages of Dalik, Malak, Zahr Al-Arab, Al-Qayrawan, Kokond, Hajuli and Otayshan before returning to Al-Qamishli.
Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol in the countryside of Ma’bada town in Al-Hasakah countryside. The patrol of four Turkish vehicles and four other Russian ones started this morning from Derna Aghi area in Ma’bada countryside and toured several villages on Turkey border.
Reliable source informed the Syrian Observatory that U.S. forces prevented the Russians from entering Ma’bada town center. However, the U.S. forces let the patrol to tour villages on Turkey border.
The joint patrol was escorted with two Russian helicopters flying at a low altitude.
