Rebels and regime forces trade fire in Jabal Al-Zawiyah and southern Idlib
Regime forces renewed rocket attacks in the early hours of Wednesday morning, targeting areas in Kansfra, Al-Bara and Al-Ftera in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib. opposition factions responded to the regime shelling with artillery fire, targeting regime positions in Kafr Mus in Jabal Shashaboo.
Meanwhile, SOHR activists have reported seeing Russian reconnaissance drones flying over the area.
These developments come as the new ceasefire in the “de-escalation zone” enters its 48th consecutive day.
On the hand, tens of displaced families are returning to their towns and villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib and Sahl Al-Rouj in the wake of relative and cautious calm prevailing throughout the “de-escalation zone”.
