Turkish-backed factions are on high alert near Abu Al-Zindin crossing, as clashes erupt among their members in Al-Bab city

The Syrian Observatory has monitored clashes with machine guns near the youth residential complex in the city of Al-Bab, between groups of Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” faction.

Clashes left at least one member injured, while members of Turkish-backed factions were on high alert near Abu Al-Zindin crossing.

On April 18, Syrian Observatory sources reported that Turkish-backed factions were smuggling goods to SDF-held areas. Nearly 20 trucks carrying goods and foodstuffs have crossed Awn Al-Dadat crossing into Manbij city.

The area on the border with the SDF-held areas, is under the control of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” and the First and Ninth Divisions, while “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” supervises the deals of bringing in fuel to areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions in northern Aleppo via Awn Al-Dadat crossing.

The region also experiences smuggling of people from regime-held areas to Turkey, after crossing through areas under the control of these factions.
