Three civilians among four Iranian-backed militiamen killed in Israeli strikes on rural Damascus

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that Israeli airstrikes on the countryside of the capital Damascus, targeted positions and headquarters of Iranian-backed militias and the Lebanese Hezbollah in the area from Al-Kiswa to Sahnaya in south-west countryside of Damascus. The attack left at least four members of those forces dead and whose identities are not yet known. Several headquarters were destroyed as well.

On the other hand, three civilians were killed and others injured as missiles fragments hit their homes in al-Adlya and Al-Hajira areas in south countryside of Damascus. It is not yet known whether these fragments were caused by Israeli missiles, or fired by regime anti-aircraft defences while intercepting the strikes.

SOHR activists said, earlier this morning, that loud explosions rocked the capital Damascus and its vicinity on Monday morning, caused by a new Israeli airstrike, targeting areas in south and south-west of Damascus.

The hit areas contain headquarters and positions of the Iranian forces and Lebanese Hezbollah and proxy militias of Syrian and non-Syrian citizens. No casualties have been reported yet.

The attack was carried out from inside Lebanese territory, while regime anti-aircraft defences tried to intercept the missiles, and managed to shoot down some of them.
