International Coalition carries out airdrops near Koniko gas field, while chasing ISIS members

On April 30, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored an attack by four members of the Islamic State cell, travelling in a car, on a military vehicle of SDF near the gas plant in the town of Jadidat Akidat in eastern rural Deir ezzor. The attack left three SDF members injured.

The attackers took advantage of the municipality work while maintaining the road, hiding behind soil barriers, while a military vehicle belonging to SDF chased them on the road of al-Azba near Koniko gas field, opening fire on their car and managed to injure two of them and capture two others. Meanwhile, the International Coalition forces have fired light bombs at the site of the clash near the field of Koniko.

In the meantime, International Coalition forces have carried out airdrop, taking full control of the situation.
