The Syrian Observatory has obtained a copy of the jihadi faction’s statement which reads “we are a independent group which has not pledged allegiance to any internal of external organizations, neither in public nor in secret.”

The jihadi group added that it has not operating under the banner of any operation rooms and has no alliance with any other factions or groups. The faction have confirmed that it engages in battles independently with coordination with some factions (it has not named any of these factions).

“Ansar Al-Tawhid” has been formed in October 2018, along with the formation of “Hurras Al-Din organization”, “Jabhat Ansar Al-Din” and “Jabhat Ansar Al-Islam”, all used to operate under the command of a single operation room under the name “Wa Harred al-Mu’minin” whose activities were mainly concentrated in the region between the northern countryside of Latakia and western countryside of Hama.

“Wa Harred al-Mu’minin” operations room has expressed rejection of the agreement between Turkey and Russia regarding Idlib and execution of joint patrols there.
