Al-Raqqa | IED explodes leaving many regime soldiers dead in western countryside

SOHR sources say that a number of regime soldiers were killed and injured in various areas of Al-Raqqa province in the past few hours.

According to Observatory sources, two soldiers of the regime forces were killed by an IED explosion targeting a military vehicle near al-Rusafa town in Al-Raqqah countryside.

The death toll since late March 24 to date has risen. The Syrian Observatory has documented the death of at least 518 members of regime forces and loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian citizens, including at least two Russians.

In addition to 127 members of Iranian-backed militias of non-Syrian citizens, all were killed in ISIS attacks, IEDs and ambushes in the western Euphrates, and the desert of Deir ez-Zor, Homs and Sweida.

SOHR also confirmed the death of four civilians working in the gas fields as a result of the group’s attacks, and two shepherds were killed in the group’s attacks,

The Syrian Observatory also documented the death of 179 members of Islamic State, during the same period, in attacks, bombings and targets.
