Second attack in three days | Unknown assailants attack “Al-Sham Corps” headquarters in eastern Idlib

Syrian Observatory sources say that the headquarters of “Al-Sham Corps”, which is closes to Turkey, in Al-Sawaghiyyah area nearby Kafriya and Al-Fu’ah came under attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Unknown assailants initiated their attack on “Al-Sham Corps” headquarters with RPGs, then the attackers and the faction’s members stationed in the headquarters traded fire. No casualties have been reported yet.

On May 10, Observatory activists monitored a new attack by unknown gunmen on the headquarters of Al-Sham Corps in the east of Binnish city in rural Idlib. Clashes erupted between the attackers and Al-Sham Corps’ members stationed in the headquarters, before the attackers escaped. No casualties were reported.

It is worth noting that security disorder has been escalating recently in areas under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions in Idlib province and surrounding countryside.
