Regime military build-up | New reinforcement from 4th Division arrive at rural Daraa frontlines

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that further military reinforcement have arrived in rural Daraa. Regime forces have brought in reinforcement from the 4th Division and their formations of “al-Ghaith” forces, 42nd Brigade and others, as well as Lebanese Hezbollah forces and Iranian-backed militias stationed in Daraa countryside. Forces are preparing to storm the area from several frontlines.

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that Tafas and Al-Muzayrib towns and other villages are witnessing mass displacement of civilians to other areas, for fear of storming western countryside of Daraa and launching a military operation by regime forces.

During the past days and hours, the Syrian Observatory monitored ongoing anti-regime demonstrations in towns and villages of Daraa province till late yesterday, as a part of obvious popular rejection of regime military build-ups and the military reinforcement brought in on a daily basis to Daraa.

These demonstrations coincide with the Syrian regime military build-ups in several areas the most prominent of which is the western countryside.

Meanwhile, every regime build-up in an area of Daraa is met with demonstrations refusing the Syrian regime’s insistence on resorting to military solution and its ongoing threat to storm towns and cities there.

People fear of a regime military action to be carried out in their areas, like what happened earlier in Al-Sanamayn and other areas, which will put their safety and sources of income at risk, especially with the ongoing currency plunge.
