Security chaos | HTS clashes with armed group west of Idlib

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening clashes with machine guns in the town of Arab Said, west of Idlib between members of Haya’at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) and an armed group in the town, which HTS accuses it of corruption and theft.

Meanwhile, members of the armed group were able to expel HTS members during the first round of clashes, with cutting off the roads in the area. No casualties have reported yet.

Reliable sources have told SOHR that a security group of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham arrested a commander of one of the factions which used to operate in eastern Ghouta. According to SOHR sources, HTS arrested the commander during his seclusion in a mosque in Kafriya town, north-east of Idlib. The reasons behind arresting the commander are yet to be known, amid tension growing in the area.
