Assassination in areas held by Turkish-backed factions | Unknown gunmen try to assassinate police officer, north of Aleppo

Aleppo Governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory has monitored an assassination attempt today by unknown gunmen, targeting an officer in the Police Directorate of Akhtarin on the road between the villages of Qa’air Kalbin and Tal Batal in the areas held by Turkish-backed factions in northern Aleppo countryside. The attack left many members injured among his security escort.

Yesterday, Syrian Observatory activists reported that an explosion hit Raju town in the Turkish-controlled city of Afrin, caused by an IED exploded in Sawarkah village. No casualties were reported.

On May 14, SOHR sources reported that an IED exploded in a car in Afrin city, north of Aleppo. According to Observatory sources, the explosion occurred on Al-Siyassiya Street behind Al-Saraya building, in which a man and a child sustained serious injuries.
