New joint patrol | Turkish and Russian forces tour villages in western Al-Darbasiyah

SOHR sources have monitored Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol this morning in the western countryside of Al-Darbasiya. Six Russian vehicles and four other Turkish ones set off Sherik crossing on Turkey border, and toured the villages of Dalik, Malak, Abbas, Ta’alak, Tarbah, Korkond, Barakah and Bar Kafri in the western countryside of Al-Darbasiyah.

 

According to SOHR sources, two Russian vehicles have stopped in Al-Tawrat village, while a helicopter was flying over the area. Another helicopters escorted the patrol which continued its way.

 

Last week, SOHR sources said that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol in Al-Darbasiya countryside. Four Turkish vehicles and four Russian ones set off from Sherik crossing on Turkey border.

 

The patrol, which was preceded by two Russian vehicles to clear and explore the road, roamed in the villages of Delek, Malik, Zahr al-Arab, Kasra checkpoint, Ibrahimiyah, Faqira, Halaiwa and Mafraq Arrad, before returning again to Sherik. The patrol was escorted with two Russian helicopters flying over the area.
