IED Blast Kills SDF Fighter in Deir ez-Zor
ERBIL – An IED blast on Monday resulted in the killing of a fighter of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, a war monitor reported.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) cited its sources as reporting that the incident occurred on Monday morning in the village of Shenan, Deir ez-Zor, where an IED bomb targeted the vehicle of the SDF fighter.
Moreover, a bomb attack targeted a SDF checkpoint “in the western countryside of Al-Tabaqah which caused material damage. No casualties have been reported,” SOHR said in a separate report.
No terrorist organisations or groups were blamed for the bombings while the Islamic State (IS) remains highly suspected to be behind the incidents
