Assassination | Unknown gunmen assassinate official in Military Intelligence branch in Daraa’s Sanamin
Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
SOHR activists have reported that unidentified gunmen opened fire today on an official in charge of a group in the Military Intelligence branch in the city of Al-Sanmin. The official died of his wounds sustained, while the gunmen fled on their motorcycles.
This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 462 attacks.
While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 301 persons, 68 of whom are civilians, including seven women and four children, in addition to 162 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.
47 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 17 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps” established by Russia.
