“De-escalation zone” | Clashes renew in Sahl Al-Ghab and regime artillery pounds southern Idlib

Syrian Observatory sources have monitored renewed clashes in the early hours of Wednesday morning on Al-Ankawy frontline in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western Hama, between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other.

The clashes were accompanied by exchange of attacks. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled positions in Al-Faterah, Kansafra, Sfuhen and Kafr Oweid in the southern countryside of Idlib.

On the other hand, Russian reconnaissance drones were monitored flying over the area of “Putin-Erdogan” in the past few hours. Theses developments comes on the 76th consecutive day of the recent ceasefire in the “de-escalation zone”.

Yesterday, SOHR activists said that three regime soldiers were killed and five others injured, after being targeted by a guided missile by members of Hayaat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) on Kafranbel frontlines in south Idlib countryside.
