Douma | Military police arrest nearly 25 young people, driving them to reserve military service

SOHR sources have reported that patrols of the military police and regime intelligence services launched a security campaign, arresting young people in Douma city to perform the reserve military service.

According to SOHR sources, a joint patrol of military police and regime intelligence set up several makeshift checkpoints in the city’s neighbourhoods and outskirts where they arrested nearly 25 young men.

On May 8, SOHR sources reported that patrols of regime security services carried out a security campaign targeting several houses in Ain Tarma town in eastern Ghouta. The raiding forces arrested ten young men from the area, including two former members of the “Civil Defence” as well as ex-fighters in Al-Rahman Corps. The arrested people were taken later to regime security branches in the capital, Damascus.
