Idlib province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources have reported that an armed group of Ahrar al-Sham expelled a displaced family in the town of Al-Fu’ah, north of Idlib.

According to Observatory sources, members of Ansar al-Islam forced the family to leave their home, who lives in Ahrar al-Sham sector in the town, while Ahrar al-Sham members intervened and expelled the family and members of the faction by force of arms.

On May 12, SOHR sources reported that civilians demonstrated against Ahrar al-Sham members, after a displaced family was evicted from their house in the town of Al-Fu’ah, while Ahrar al-Sham members fired in the air to disperse them.

SOHR sources have reported that Ahrar al-Sham faction expelled a displaced family from rural Homs, consisting of a mother and four orphaned children, from their house in the town of Al-Foua, near Idlib city, in order to turn it into a military headquarters.

Displaced families from Homs and rural Damascus provinces have lost their homes since their arrival in northern Syria, due to heavy shelling during the recent military operation. Houses turned into military and security headquarters, and homes for the families of fighters in the factions which control the town.
