“De-escalation zone” | Rebels thwart regime attack on positions in southern Idlib

Syrian Observatory sources have monitored fierce clashes in the early hours of Saturday morning in areas near Kafr Nubl and Al-Bara in the southern countryside of Idlib, between regime forces and opposition factions.

 

The clashes, which were accompanied by intensive rocket shelling, followed an infiltration attempt by regime forces into positions of the rebels in the area. Reports suggested there are casualties in the ranks of two sides.

 

Meanwhile, regime forces shelled places in Kansafra town in the southern countryside of Idlib this down. No casualties have been reported.

 

These violations come on the 79th consecutive day of the recent ceasefire in the area of “Putin-Erdogan”.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that regime forces targeted a car in Al-Zaqoum area in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama. The attack injured the car’s occupants, including a child, and burned down the car.
