Turkish soldiers participate in Eid prayer in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, with anti-regime demonstrations in Idlib city

Syrian Observatory sources have monitored residents of Idlib city participating in a demonstration this morning just after Eid prayer.

The demonstrators called for toppling the Syrian regime and the return of people who have been forces to displace due to the military operations.

On the other hand, reliable sources have informed SOHR that Turkish soldiers performed Eid prayer with the people of Jabal Al-Zawiyah. Turkish soldiers were seen in mosques in the villages of Balyoun, Shannan and Ihsim in southern Idlib city.

It is worth noting that Turkish forces have brought in thousands of soldiers on nearly 3,400 military vehicles to the “de-escalation zone” since the recent ceasefire came into effect in March.

From February 2 to date, SOHR activists monitored the entry of more than 6,810 trucks and military vehicles to the Syrian territory, including tanks, personnel carriers, armored vehicles, mobile bulletproof guard booths and military radars. Meanwhile the number of Turkish soldiers who were deployed during the same period in Idlib and Aleppo exceeded 10,400.
