Saju town agreement | After nearly 15 persons killed or wounded, displaced people of Tal Refaat agree to withdraw from the town

Reliable sources have told SOHR that the gunmen of Tal Refaat and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” have reached an agreement in Saju town in northern Aleppo at Syria-Turkey border. The agreement stipulates for the withdrawal of the people of Tal Refaat from Saju town and remove all armed presence. This agreement comes after bloody fight with heavy weapons and rockets, which lasted for nearly seven hours, between gunmen displaced from Tal Refaat and gunmen form Saju.

The fight left four fatalities (three people from Tal Refaat, including a child, and a fighter of “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” from Saju), while ten others, including civilians, sustained injuries. The fight followed altercation between a young man from Tal Refaat and members of a checkpoint affiliated to “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” led to the killing of a child from Tal Refaat by the checkpoint’s members. It is worth noting that “Al-Mu’tasim Division” and “Jaysh Al-Sharqiyyah” intervened last night as disengagement forces.

SOHR sources reported yesterday, that members of the Turkish-backed “Liwaa Al-Shamal” of the disengagement forces were injured near the Tribal Court in Saju town, as they tried to intervene to defuse the ongoing clashes.

Meanwhile, military reinforcement of “Al-Mu’tasim Brigade” arrived in Saju, while a column of “Ahrar al-Sharqiyya” arrived in the city of Azaz to support the disengagement forces there.

On the other hand, the military and revolutionary forces of Tal Rifaat city issued a statement explaining the repeated attacks by some members of Abu Ali Saju’s emergency force in Sajo village on Turkey border, the latest of which was the killing of two young civilians from Tal Rifaat city for reasons that did not warrant shooting and killing with cold blood.

The military and revolutionary forces of Tal Rifaat city called upon civilians to stay indoors until they take revenge on the group of “Abu Ali Sajo”.
