Rural Tal Abyad | Turkish-backed factions target civilians, while checking their homes near frontlines

SOHR activists have reported that Turkish-backed factions targeted civilians while visiting their villages in SDF-held areas on the frontlines with areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions. A civilian was injured as these factions targeted the village of Kor Hassan in western countryside of Tal Abyad, during a visit to his home on the first day of Eid al-Fitr. 

On May 22, the Syrian Observatory monitored shelling with heavy weapons by Turkish forces and their proxy factions, targeting Arida village in western countryside of Tal Abyad in northern Al-Raqqa province. No casualties were reported.
