“De-escalation zone” | Clashes erupt between rebels and regime in southern Idlib leaving casualties

Syrian Observatory sources say that clashes erupted in the early hours of Friday morning between opposition factions and regime forces, following an attack by regime forces on positions of the factions on Al-Fterah frontline in the southern countryside of Idlib. the clashes were accompanied by shelling and exchange of fire, amid confirmed reports about casualties in the ranks of the two sides. These clashes come on the 85th consecutive day of the recent ceasefire in the “de-escalation zone”.

 

SOHR sources monitored yesterday tens calm prevailing throughout the “de-escalation zone” interrupted by targeting by regime forces using medium machineguns on the rebels’ positions in towns and villages of Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib.
