Idlib | HTS storms village in countryside, killing former commander of “Jund al-Aqsa”

SOHR sources say that security forces of Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) stormed today the town of Al-Nairb in Idlib countryside, clashing with wanted men accused of belonging to “Islamic State cells”, and killing a former commander of “Jund al-Aqsa” Organization in front of his family, and transferring his body to an unknown destination.

The city of Idlib and all areas under the control of HTS are witnessing a security chaos such as kidnappings, thefts and armed robberies.

On May 7, SOHR sources said that unknown persons kidnapped a civilian from the city of Salqin in rural Idlib, demanding his parents pay a large ransom, after sending a video tape, a copy of which was obtained by SOHR, showing the kidnappers cutting off his finger and brutally torturing him.

On the other hand, a civilian of the Christian community was kidnaped from the village of Al-Ya’qubiya in rural Idlib, without knowing the reasons and motives of kidnapping.
